DREAM STUDIES in Traditional Tibetan Medicine

The study of dreams in Tibetan culture is very ancient. Dreams can be analysed in different ways: for religious purposes, for divination, or for medical purposes. Tibetan doctors have a well-developed understanding of the relationship between dreams and health; thus dreams are analysed from both a religious as well as a medical perspective. Both the Tantric spiritual tradition and Traditional Tibetan Medicine describe three basic components - Consciousness, the subtle rLung energies, and the chakras and channels - as being necessary for the manifestation of dreams.

Dream Analysis Level 1

A fascinating and intensive immersion in Tibetan Dream studies. Topics include:-

  • Consciousness as defines by Tibetan culture: the different divisions of conscioiusness and their functions
  • rLung energy - the subtle vitalizing energy: the divisions of rLung energies and their functions; The Five Elements, their energies and functions in the body

  • The theory and analysis of dreams in sick people: The diagnosis of illness using dreams: dreams for indications of prognosis and cure
  • Introduction to Dream Work: How dreams can be utilized for curing blockages of energy & mind
  • Dreams and Spiritual practice. Understanding the difference between ordinary, symbolic and prophetic dreams
  • Introduction to Dream Yoga - the most profound study & practice of Dream in Tibetan tradition

SA CHE - Tibetan Geomancy

Sa Che or Tibetan Geomancy is considered to be analysis of the earth, including water, spacce, air, light, trees, garden and home. The principals of Sa Che are to bring harmony and equilibrium, both in the natural environment and within the being, affording good health, wealth and enjoyment. These benefits flow on to our relationships and lifestyle.

Sa Che looks at:

  • The presence of nature and water energy
  • Land and garden design
  • The protectors of the four directions
  • Layout inside our home
  • The kitchen and bedroom areas
  • The remedies for Sa Dra, the negative points or places

YUTHOK NYINGTHIG RETREAT - LEVEL 1 TRANSMISSION

*Pre-requisite: Completion of Yuthok Nyingthig Ngondro (Preliminary level)
(ATTM) Singapore organize this course of Yuthok Nyingthig for the first time in Singapore. This is the most important spiritual practice for traditional Tibetan doctors, astrologers, and even lay practitioners. Its initiations remain one of the most holy and exoteric practice which represents the secret path towards the realization of the rainbow body.
The first level of Yuthok Nyingthig is also known as the Outer Guru Yoga. The meaning of Guru Yoga is the connection link with the Guru, the Master. In this session, we receive the initiation and blessing from Dr. Nida to practice Outer Guru Yoga, which focuses on Yuthok with the Four medicine Dakinis and the Mantra of entire Yuthok mandala.

MAHAMUDRA TRANSMISSION

Mahamudra literally means "Great Seal" and is one of the most advanced methods for meditation of the Vajrayana Tibetan Buddhism.

It is the direct teaching on the nature of the mind.

TRADITIONAL TIBETAN MEDICINE (TTM)

TTM is a natural and holistic medical science, which addresses the individual's needs of body, mind and spirit, in an integrated way. Although it is generally practiced alongside the Buddhist philosophy, TTM contains a comprehensive philosophy, cosmology and system of subtle anatomy with associated spiritual practices, in its own right.

This TTM program is based directly on the original root text of The Four Tantras.

The Four Tantras (Tib. rGyud bZhi)
Root Tantra (Tib. rTsa rGyud) - The root of TTM; Fundamentals of Tibetan Medicine; the study of five elements and three humours, basis of diagnosis and treatment.

Explanatory Tantra (Tib. bShad rGyud) - Basic studies such as anatomy, physiology, diet, behaviour, herbology.

Oral Instruction Tantra (Tib. Manngag eGyud) - Specific pathology and natural treatment.

Final Action Tantra (Tib. Phyima rGyud) - Diagnosis and therapies, pulse reading, urine analysis, pharmacology and external therapies such as massage, acupuncture, bath therapy, moxabustion.
